After running Windows 11 and VMWARE workstation 17.x, perfomance really collapsed, VM’s are very slow.
There are many fixes and workarounds out there, but I have found that theese settings helped me out a lot:
Command prompt:
powercfg /powerthrottling disable /path “C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware – –Workstation\x64\vmware-vmx.exe”
Inside the VM, under Guest –> Settings –> Advanced:
