After you have upgraded to vSphere 6, you will notice that the hardware tab and plug-in for it, is missing from vSphere Client. This is expected behaviour, because VMWARE wants you to use the vSphere Web Client instead 😉
So go to: “https://your-vcenter-server/vsphere-client” and login here from know on 😉
