IMM2 reports backup GUID Partition Table (GPT) corruption detected after server restart

Have been seeing this on a few IBM / Lenovo x3650 M5 servers lately: It was not all servers in a cluster that showed it, even if they had same firmware level and access to the same storage. It then turned out to be a firmware issue on the SATA / SAS HBA, IBM made a KB available here, with a download link for the fixed firmware: https://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/docdisplay?lndocid=migr-5094858

VMware: Pass VLAN directly to the virtual machine

When you have a VM that requires VLAN directly passed to it, it could be a virtual firewall or any Vm, VMWARE does not allow anything else that an untagged port to the VM. vSphere 6 – hardware tab missing from vSphere client after upgrade

After you have upgraded to vSphere 6, you will notice that the hardware tab and plug-in for it, is missing from vSphere Client. This is expected behaviour, because VMWARE wants you to use the vSphere Web Client instead 😉 So go to: “https://your-vcenter-server/vsphere-client” and login here from know on 😉 Source: kb.vmware.com/kb/2111416
